What is AIMED?

AIMED is an online platform where higher education institutions can promote their offer of subjects for international exchange students. On the other hand, students can easily browse the offer of various schools in order to choose their mobility destination and subjects they will include in their learning agreement.

AIMED is open to any higher education institution that would like to present themselves and promote their offer of subjects.

Who are the Aimed-developing team?

AIMED was developed by the partnership of 9 institutions within Erasmus+ Strategic Partnership project “Aiming to educate by promoting the academic dimension of Erasmus+” (2018-1-PL01-KA203-051106). Members of the consortium are: University of Lodz (coordinator, Poland), European University Foundation (Luxemburg); Erasmus Student Network (Belgium), Vytautas Magnus University (Lithuania), University of Cadiz (Spain), University of Granada (Spain), University of Primorska (Slovenia), University of Santiago de Compostela (Spain), European Humanities University (Lithuania).

What are the technical requirements (browser) to use AIMED platform?

AIMED platform works well on the most popular browsers (Firfox, Chrome, Edge, Opera, Safari). Please make sure that you use the latest version. The platform is also available on mobile devices.

How much does participation cost?

The platform is free of charge.

How do I update data?

You should log in to your university profile to update the data of your university. If you don’t know who is in charge of your university’s account please get in touch with us bwz@uni.lodz.pl.

Where can I find out whether my university is eligible to participate in AIMED platform?

Any university can join the AIMED platform.

Where could I see the technical requirements for data uploading?

Data can be added manually by inserting relevant information to the AIMED platform. If you wish to upload your subjects from your university database you will have to prepare a CSV file. You will get instructions from us once we set up an account for you.

How does it work?

Choose „Go for exchange” and you will be able to search for you dream mobility destination by specifying country, city, language, study fields or key words. Once you get the list of universities that match you search criteria, choose one and search for the subjects that it offers.

How does it connect to my exchange program?

AIMED helps you to choose the destination of your exchange. If you choose any of the universities that are present on the AIMED platform you can browse the offer of subjects they offer and compare them, as well as find academic and practical information relevant for mobility candidates.

Do I have to create an account on the platform?

No, the search mechanism works without the need of registration.

What should I do if the university I want to go to as an Erasmus+ student is not present on the platform?

Not all universities are present on the AIMED platform, only those that decided to join. If you wish, you can let the university know about the AIMED platform as a valuable place to search for the subjects. Maybe they will be keen to include their offer as well!
